Michiana's Home For Mixed Martial Arts

Michiana Fight League was founded in 2004 with one goal: bring real mixed martial arts to the Michiana region and give fighters a stage to prove themselves inside the cage.

What started as a local promotion has grown into one of the Midwest’s most respected regional MMA organizations.

THE BEGINNING

When MFL was established, mixed martial arts was still gaining acceptance in many parts of the country. In St. Joseph County, the sport had not yet been approved for sanctioned competition.

Founder Todd Brown, a professional fighter and gym owner, helped push the sport forward locally. When MMA was finally approved in the county, the first sanctioned event was promoted by Michiana Fight League.

A Platform for Fighters

From the beginning, MFL has provided a platform for both amateur and professional fighters to compete and showcase their skills. Many athletes who fought in the MFL cage have gone on to compete on national stages after building their careers locally.

Growing the Promotion

In 2011, Todd Brown partnered with Travis Smith, an experienced fighter and matchmaker. Together they helped elevate the promotion, bringing stronger fight cards and continuing to grow the sport in the region.

Fight Night in Michiana

Over the years, MFL has grown from hosting events in local gymnasiums to producing premier fight nights at the Century Center in South Bend. Today, the partnership between MFL and the Century Center brings fans together for exciting nights of action inside the cage.
